WELCOME TO NOVA SCOTIA KYOKUSHIN-KAN

Thanyou for all your support in making the Kyokushin Karate 2007 Nova Scotia Cup a success! The tournament provided a great experience for all of us to build our strength as an organization and to promote Kyokushin in Nova Scotia.
 
I would like to send a special thankyou to Sensei Ray Cormier, head of ACKK and Branch Chief. Thanyou Sensei for giving us this opportunity to challenge ourselves to organize and run such an event. Also thankyou for your integral part in organizing our team of officials.

Thankyou to Sensei Diego Beltran and his team from Guardian Dojo, Winnipeg. Thankyou to Sensei Richard Poulin, Branch Chief of Quebec and Ontario, and his team from St. Jean Dojo, Quebec. Thanyou to Sensei Vittorio Russo and his team from Russo Dojo, Montreal, Quebec. Thanyou to Sensei Rene Cruze and his team from Rochester New York. Thankyou to Diane Felx and her team from St. Hubert, Montreal. Thankyou to Sensei Daniel Gaudet from Dieppe, New Brunswick. Sensei Melanie Tremblay and her team from Edmunston, New Brunswick. Thanyou to Sensei Keith Tanten and his team from Prince Edward Island. Thankyou to Sensei Nathan Waterman and Rick MacMillian and their team from Bear River, Nova Scotia. Also, thankyou to Sensei John Pendergas. It is also important that we thank all instructors and participants from other martial arts as well.
 
Thankyou to all our officials: Referee Sensai Diego Beltram provided a Seminar on Friday, Oct 12th for our team of officials and was the head referee for kumite competition. Thankyou for your professionalism. Thanyou to Sensei Bob Myers from Moncton, Maurice Leblanc from Moncton, Nicole Oconnor from Moncton, Denise Kenny from Moncton, Claire Oconnor from Moncton, and Sensei Roger Belliveau from Memramcook.
 
Thankyou to all those who participated in our breaking demonstration: Sensei Ron Cormier, Sensei Roger Belliveau, Sensei J.J Nowlan, Sensei Patrick Millette, Sensei Monelle Richard and all of those who helped organize, cleanup and make the demonstration a success.
 
I would also like to thank all of the spectators for attending our event and showing their interest and support, particularly the karate ka's families and friends. 
 
As you all know an event like this could not be possible without our volunteers and our sponsors, we thank you all for your time, effort and your financial support. We also thank Jeremy Chipper from Chipper productions who will be producing a DVD with highlights from the tournament. Thankyou to Sean Kirkwood for all your work in design and promotion for the event as well as Kenny Burdon for the tournament banner.
 
Finally, I would like to thank our team here in Nova Scotia, all the tourament participants, karate ka who volunteered, and our families and friends. A special thankyou to Sensei Patrick Millette and his wife Marie-Pier for all their hard work. Again a special thankyou to Marc-Andre Losier particularly for heading up our sponsorship campaign. Finally thankyou to my wife Susan for her support and her help. 
 
Again thankyou to everyone, I hope I did not miss any person whose name should have been acknowledged. I welcome any feedback with regards to the event and look forward to our next Kyokushin event. Lets continue to build our organization and work hard to follow the Kyokushin Way.
