WELCOME TO NOVA SCOTIA KYOKUSHIN-KAN

Karate & Self- Defense For Adults and Kids

Osu,

When you practise Kyokushin Karate, you will become strong physically and mentally while learning self-defense and gaining self-confidence. You will get an excellent cardiovascular work out, conditioning and felexibility. You can try our classes for fitness and healthy living and if you wish you can also have a chance to participate in international events.

I would like to thank Coeli Marsh for teaching a yoga class at our dojo in July and helping us to learn some strengthening and yoga techniques. Coeli is a Master Vinyasa Yoga teacher who was instructed by Baron Baptiste. Coeli was in Halifax teaching yoga seminars and we were very fortunate to have her volunteer her time and share her knowledge with us. Thank you Coeli, we would love to have you teach us more in the future!

Have a great summer!

Our kid’s classes are closed for the months of July and August. Kid’s classes will start again in September, 2008. Kids please stay active and practice your pushups, squats and sit-ups, you can also practice your Kata; you don’t want to forget them. Our Adult classes will be open Mondays and Wednesdays throughout the summer, please note there has been a change in time with classes starting at 7:00pm. All kids in Nova Scotia Kyokushin-Kan are welcome to practice with us anytime.

Summer is hot and practice may be more challenging at times, but it is an excellent opportunity to build up your stamina. Keep training hard and keep yourself well hydrated.
